Dog-Approved Cupcakes for Cupcake's Birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated Cupcake's 5th Birthday! She is such an important member of our family and I couldn't imagine not having her. She's such a little bundle of pure happiness.
For her birthday we decided that we needed to do something special. Usually we just buy her a bag of treats and a new toy. This year however, I wanted to do something a bit more special - make her some special puppy cupcakes!
Recipe:
For the Cupcakes (makes 3):
1 Cesar's Filet Mignon Flavored Food Tray (only $0.72 at Target!)
1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Flour
For the Icing:
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
Sprinkles:
Instructions:
In medium bowl, mix together the tray of Cesar's soft dog food, 1/4 cup greek yogurt, 1 egg and 1/2 cup flour until mixed well. You may have to mash up the food a bit before adding other ingredients.
Bake on 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
While baking, mix up your icing: blend the greek yogurt and peanut butter until smooth and creamy (icing consistency).
Once cupcakes are done baking, let cool for 15 minutes.
Frost and Sprinkle!
Serve to your favorite pet! p.s. our kitty loved them too!

ReplyDeleteTo make the cream cheese simpler to combine with whipped cream cheese, make sure it is at room temperature. Chunks should be added to a mixing bowl and whipped with a hand mixer until frothy. Set aside in various basins if you desire different hues. The neutral food color gels may then be added, or you can liquefy ingredients like berries in a tiny blender and stir them into the whipped cream cheese.
