How to Style a Band Tee

Ok, so try to not get distracted by the teensy tiny cutest little puppy ever... It'll be hard, but the focus here is on the band tee - and all of the ways I styled it! I didn't get a chance to shoot all of the outfits outside of my house, but I did get a shot of each outfit. It's a... Announcing Our Little Lokii

From the second I saw her sweet face over Messenger, I knew she had to be ours. We went through a few different names, but came down to Latte or Lokii. Since our bigger adopted dog is Thor, we decided we had to go with Lokii - even though she is a girl. 

I knew we needed to announce her in a really fun way. Having an only child, we get asked SO often when we are having another baby. To be honest I think the answer to that is never...but had to freak a few people out with our 'reveal'. I posted just the first picture in the below series to my private Facebook group with the caption 'coming soon' - while I finished editing the rest of the images... almost immediately my phone was blowing up. Everyone wanted to know - but I didn't give in.

We are so excited to have this precious little baby - she has already brought so much joy to our home and has mended the tiniest portion of my broken heart since we lost Cupcake. 

Quick & Delicious Valentine's Snack

We are only a few short days from Valentine's Day so I thought I would share this fun recipe again if you're looking for a cute snack to make for the occasion. This one is so quick and easy - it only takes about 10-15 minutes and has a handful of simple ingredients that I was able to find on my recent Target run. We are so excited for Valentine's Day this year - we have a big announcement that we cannot wait to share, so be sure to check in on Instagram on Saturday to see our big news!

This treat is so quick and easy to make, it only took me about 10 minutes from start to finish, and that includes mixing and melting the chocolates!

Recipe:

I linked all of the ingredients below, so you can click to view/purchase. I purchased all of these at Target - you can order all of these items and pick them up from your local Target in 2 hours or less!

1 bag of Microwave Popcorn 

(I picked Pop-Secret Sea Salt because I like the sweet/salty mix!)

1/2 bag of Pretzels 

(can be twists or sticks)

1 bag Ghiradelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers

(these wafers are my favorite, I think they taste the best)

1 bag of festive M&M's

(you could make this treat for literally any holiday by switching out the colors)

Matching Sprinkles

(I picked pink sanding sugar by Williams Sonoma)

Pink Food Coloring

(or if a different holiday, whatever color matches)

Optional:

Cute festive cups, I also found these at Target!

Instructions:

1. Pop bag of microwave popcorn and set aside to cool.

2. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment/wax paper.

3. In a large mixing bowl add popped popcorn, be sure to remove any unpopped kernels. 

4. Put half of the Ghiradelli wafers into a microwave safe dish and melt per instructions on the bag.

5. Mix melted chocolate into the popcorn making sure to coat the popcorn evenly with the chocolate. 

6. Melt the other half of the Ghiradelli wafers.

7. While waiting for the chocolate to melt, add the pretzels into the mixing bowl with the popcorn, but don't mix it in yet.

8. After the chocolate is melted, add a few drops of pink food coloring and mix the chocolate evenly.

9. Pour the colored chocolate over the pretzels and mix thoroughly with the popcorn so that the mix is even. 

10. Spread the mixture evenly on the lined cookie sheet.

11. Sprinkle the mix with M&Ms and Sprinkles.

12. Wait to cool/chocolate hardens.

13. Enjoy!!
