Over the weekend if you watched our stories, you probably saw that we were lucky enough to be invited to attend the Disney•Pixar’s“Incredibles 2” event hosted by the Incredible Egg in beautiful Chicago! We had such a great time!
While at the event we played egg-inspired games such as Egg in the Hole, the Egg Race and Egg Bowling. I think Daphnie's favorite was Egg in the Hole. She also made two super hero masks and took a quiz to see which "Incredibles 2" character she was most like.
This event was perfect for us as we love eggs. Daphnie is always asking for eggs for breakfast and hard boiled eggs for a snack. I try to hard boil a dozen eggs each week and keep them in an airtight dish in the refrigerator so she can just grab an egg when she wants a snack! Eggs are so good for you so I don't mind if she has more than one either. They are a nutritional powerhouse, with one large egg containing 6 grams of high-quality protein

The IncredibleEgg is the perfect sidekick to all the Supers out there with their high nutritional value, so we think teaming up with Disney•Pixar’s“Incredibles 2” for the launch of this highly anticipated movie was a natural fit.
After the event, we were able to see a viewing of the new Disney•Pixar’s“Incredibles 2” movie. We have been looking forward to the release for well over a year. In fact, before we left for Chicago Daphnie was sure to watch the first "The Incredibles" movie to refresh her memory. We are happy to report that the sequel did not disappoint! We highly recommend it for everyone, it was a great movie!

If there was one thing I wish I were better at, it would be staying in touch with the people I love better. Since Daphnie came along, pretty much the entire world has taken a backseat, not for a second do I regret or with that were different; but I do wish I was better at forcing myself to make more time for other people in my life.
One of those people is my bestie. About three years ago now she moved clear across the country to Seattle, Washington - following the job of her dreams. I could not be happier for her and her fiance and I love following along their adventures via social media. When I partnered with Greetabl I knew exactly who I wanted to send my first Greetabl to and quickly got to work designing it, adding a special note and picking a little surprise for her to open.
The process was so easy, and the Greetabl website worked seamlessly. It was so easy to select the wrapping, upload photos, write in a little personal note (they also have pre-written notes too), and then -my favorite part- picking a little special gift. I absolutely love giving gifts and couldn't wait for her to get it!
As soon as my bestie got her Greetabl, she was so excited to tell me how much she loved it and thanked me for it. She even took the photos, that easily tear off of the box, to work to keep at her desk.
I now know what I will be sending family and friends for birthdays, holidays and even just because. Greetabl is so cute, modern and was such a hit with my bestie, I cannot wait to send the next one!

One of my favorite events of the year has now come and passed. Daphnie's birthday parties are my favorite to plan. This year Target made it easy by having the cutest party supplies set! We decided we wanted it to be simple but so fun this year so we opted for pizza and cupcakes.
Daphnie wanted just chocolate cupcakes, but I thought that wasn't fun enough for a kids party, so I made two options, one that is all chocolate and one that is a lot more fun. The kids ended up calling it the 'rainbow sparkle' cupcake! I had so much fun decorating these cupcakes. I will link all of the items I used below.
Daphnie and all of her friends had so much fun swimming after the party - and Daphnie went down the big slides at the pool for the first time! She was so excited to get to go down the slides, I think she went down at least 50 times while we were there!
I didn't do all of the crazy decorations or make cake pops or sugar cookies this year {thank goodness because I really just didn't have the time!} but Daphnie didn't mind at all. The most important part to her was having fun with her friends and celebrating her day!

Sooo chocolately and good! Chocolate is Daphnie's favorite by far! To make the 8's and hashy decorations I melted the dark chocolate I linked below and put it into a piping bag and then wrote out the designs on wax paper and then let them cool/dry!
Here are the products I used for these Chocolatey cupcakes:
These cupcakes were by far my favorite to make to date! How fun are these decorations! I made the Unicorn Bark the night before the party by melting the white chocolate I linked below and coloring it with the gel food colors (it has to be gel!) I then spread each color (purple, pink and blue) in lines on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and then took a spatula and swirled them together. You want it to be about a 1/4 inch thick and then just break apart into pieces once it cools!

Between the simplicity of the party and the fun the kiddos had, I would have to say that this was the best party yet! I cannot wait to plan next year's!
